Extending the Battery Life of Google Glass

The world’s best smart phones suffer from battery life issues, so it makes sense that the latest wearable tech like Google Glass would also suffer from issues related to battery life.

There are a few little things that can be done to extend and improve the battery life of Google Glass. We thought people would enjoy knowing these little tips and tricks, so that’s why we are sharing them.

Here is How You Can Extend and Improve the Battery Life of Google Glass

Double Battery Drain

This is a little trick that many people say has successfully helped with improving their battery life. For some reason, a few people end up only getting a few hours worth of use out of their Google Glass before it dies. Well, after draining the battery to 0% and charging it back to 100% 2 times, people have managed to go from around three hours worth of battery life to around eight hours of battery life.

Disabling Data or Setting On Airplane Mode

There are definitely times where Google Glass is not being used and wireless / bluetooth can be turned off. Turning off data isn’t going to magically add countless hours of battery life to Google Glass, but it can help add an additional 30 minutes to an hour worth of battery. Two apps that can help with disabling wireless and bluetooth is ‘Power Options‘ and ‘Airplane Mode‘.

Extending Battery Life with Battery Packs and Other Accessories

There are many different battery packs that can be used to charge your Google Glass while on the go. Two battery packs that will definitely work with Google Glass is the Anker Portable Power Bank and the EasyAcc® 12000mAh Power Bank.

Google Glass owners will also want to look into the battery extending accessories GazerGlass and PWRGlass; both will start shipping orders soon and can add a couple of hours worth of battery life to Google Glass.

Those are a few things Explorers can do to extend the battery life of Google Glass. Sadly, until battery technology sees a huge advancement we’re not going to be able to use Google Glass all day.
