Glass At Work Partner ‘Augmedix’ Raises Another $16M in Funding

Augmedix is a San Francisco-based company that was founded in 2012. Since being founded, they have been working hard on an electronic health record solution for Google Glass, which will help reduce the amount of time that doctors spend fidgeting with health records by allowing doctors to record and access patient data via Google Glass voice commands. Besides working hard on their health record solution, they’ve also been raising a significant amount of money since being founded.

In 2014, the company raised a total of $7.3 million dollars. That’s a lot of money already, but Augmedix just announced today that they raised another $16 million dollars in funding. The company has now raised $23 million dollars in total.

Augmedix stated in their press release that they will be using the funding to expand their operations among other things.

“The company will use the funding to expand operations, fuel product development, and establish new partnership initiatives.”

While Google Glass struggles to find its place in a lot of areas, Google Glass and healthcare go together like cookies and milk. Last year was pretty exciting in regards to all the health care companies, surgeons, hospitals, nurses, and doctors testing out the device. It seems that this year is going to be just as exciting!
