Microsoft HoloLens Previews Available In New York City

We have some good for those who want a hands-on preview for the upcoming Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality headset. Microsoft’s store from New York City is now offering a preview of the HoloLens, but there is a catch. In order to have access to the hands-on preview, you will need to make an appointment and these appointments are only open to developers and not regular users.

So, if you are a developer that’s interested in working on the HoloLens project and can pay 3000 dollars, then you will most likely want to attend this hands-on preview to see what’s about to come.

It seems that Microsoft wants to allow the developers to test out the HoloLens headset before it gets released. This way, the developers will be able to see the device before they decide to pay 3000 dollars for it. Keep in mind that this hands-on preview is only available at the Microsoft New York Metro District.

According to Microsoft’s Alex Kipman, any developer that wants to try out HoloLens will have the chance to do it before it gets released. Kipman also confirmed that the appointments can now be scheduled at the HoloLens Events Website, but he warned us that the waiting list is already very, very long, and it is expected to grow longer in the upcoming days.

However, we suggest you to make an appointment right away and maybe you will be lucky enough to see the device before it gets released. The Microsoft flagship store that will offer the HoloLens preview is located on the Fifth Avenue between 53rd and 54th Streets and amid several luxury stores. Microsoft HoloLens Developer Kit will be released in early 2016 and it will be available only for developers at the price of 3000 dollars.

Are you a developer and will you purchase the Microsoft HoloLens once it gets released?
