Crytek’s First VR Game Will Be Named “The Climb” And It Will Have People To Face Their Fear Of Heights

Crytek, the German video game developer, has revealed that it is working on a new game called “The Climb”, which will be actually a virtual reality rock climbing game that will take the players to heights.

“The Climb” game is exclusively developed for the Oculus Rift, which is already getting ready to be released soon, in 2016. The Climb’s mechanics are quite easy and you will be able to start your solo rock climbing adventure in the middle of some awesome mountains. The goal is to reach the top of the mountain and if you fail, you will probably meet your “virtual death” at the bottom of the mountain.

However, it seems that Crytek doesn’t want to “shock” the players too much. With other words, you will not see what happens with your character once it hits the ground, as a white screen will block your entire view right before that happens. According to Crytek, the game will not a very easy game, but they assure all the players that they will enjoy the solo adventure and “one-of-a-kind” adventure.

Take a look below at “The Climb” teaser trailer that Crytek released a few days ago.

Yes, there will be only two floating hands in front of the player and they will move to the direction where the player will turn his/her head. We remind you that when Crytek has decided to develop this game, the Oculus Touch was not out yet, so they couldn’t use this technology. Instead, they’ve used what they had back then and at full capacity. However, Crytek assured us that the game will support both of the Xbox One controllers and Oculus Touch.

Are you afraid of heights? Do you think that you will be able to face your fears by playing “The Climb” game?
