What VR Games Will Be Played On The Oculus Rift

oculus rift VALKYRIE

The Consumer Edition of the Oculus Rift headset will be shipped soon at a price of $599, but pre-orders already started being take on January 6, and the users will get two free games: EYE: Valkyrie and Lucky’s Tale, along with an Xbox One controller. In parallel, Oculus has invested $10 million, helping indie developers to create VR games for its headset and gave a list of titles that will be available for its Oculus Rift headset. Here are a few of them.

EVE: Valkyrie

As we said, EVE: Valkyrie will come for free on-preordered headsets and it will be a multiplayer dogfighting shooter game in which the players will be in command of a heavily armed fighter. The stalwart leader of the Valkyrie pilots will be Rán Kavik, whose voice belongs to actress Katee Sackhoff, who appeared in Battlestar Galactica, Riddick and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Climb

The game will be an Oculus Rift exclusive, while Crytek’s Robinson: The Journey is exclusive for PlayStation VR. The Climb will introduce the players to beautiful landscapes and tall mountains which were recreated after the Southeast Asian mountain range. The players will use Xbox One controllers and Oculus Touch (a pair of wireless controllers) and they will scale cliffs, but if they’ll be careless, they will fall and die.

Rockband VR

This is a VR adaptation of Harmonix’ Rock Band music game series, working on the Oculus Rift and its Oculus Touch controllers. The player will stand on a stage and hammers away on a floating guitar, which has color-coded button flashing. This game is for wannabes musicians who like to test their skills and want to learn how to play guitar.

Bullet Train

This Oculus Touch shooter is the best way to spend free time and kill people based on your hand movements. It all happens in a train station, where you’ll shoot soldiers and machines sent to kill you. The game has two important features: “teleportation” and “time manipulation,” but we’re pretty sure that you will just want to fire bullets in all directions.
